Software development update

Posted by SatoshiLabs in News on September 22, 2013 with No Comments

We have published updates on the code at Github.

During past several weeks we have implemented some new features into the TREZOR code. The main developments are BIP32 and RFC6979. Software experts can review the code at the TREZOR Github.

BIP32 (hierarchical deterministic wallets) enable simple paper backups and promise compatibility with all bitcoin clients in the future.

RFC6979 (deterministic ECDSA) resolves the security issues with random number generator the Bitcoin world has witnessed on Android platforms a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, our friends from MultiBit made a huge step forward integrating TREZOR into their wallet.
